William "Bill" F. Clayton , 91, of Coopersburg, PA; formerly of Tylersport, PA & Sellersville, PA passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center.

He was the loving husband of the late Doris L. (Magargal) Clayton for 64 years. William was born in Woodbury, NJ to the late Frank M. Clayton and the late Nina M. (Fenno) Clayton.

He graduated from Sell-Perk High School (now known as Pennridge High School), class of 1951. William was a self-employed carpenter in the Tylersport area for over 60 years.

He was a former Boy Scout Leader of Troop 16 in Franconia, PA. William was also a former member of the Morwood Sportsmen's Club in Tylersport, PA. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church - Ridge Valley.

He was an avid reader who enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, gardening, walking, traveling, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. William was a loving and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a hardworking, independent, caring man who was very active in life and had a good sense of humor.

William is survived by his son, Steven W. Clayton & wife, Jane of Zionsville, PA; his three daughters, Sandra J. Gagnon & husband, Kenneth of Pittsford, VT, Dorie L. Clayton of Lehighton, PA, Amy C. Fritz & husband, Jerry of Coopersburg, PA; his 10 grandchildren – Sara, David, Nathan, Alex, Alena, Clayton, Evan, Ericka, Reid, & Lily; his 10 great-grandchildren – Richard, Levi, William, Mason, Hanna, Ellianna, Wren, Colson, Izzy, & Ruby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Peter, James, Daniel, & Richard Clayton and his two sisters, Jane Brantley & Polly Clayton.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 12:00 pm at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church - Ridge Valley, 910 Allentown Road, Sellersville, Pennsylvania 18960.

Inurnment will take place at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
