Obituary

William "Bill" H. Leib , 90, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Northeast Philadelphia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Abington-Lansdale Hospital.

Bill was the loving husband of Helen R. (Krell) Leib for 68 years. He was born in Schuylkill County, PA to the late Lloyd Leib and the late Grace (Stehr) Maurer.

Bill graduated from Northeast Public High School, class of 1952. He was a self-employed painter for more than 40 years.

Bill was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Bill served in the United States Army and Reserves, and took pride in protecting our land, resources, and population. He served as a motor pool and cook among other assignments.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed hunting and wood working, and was a handy man around his home, for family and friends. He loved HOT coffee, cherry pie, peanut butter, lassie bread, western cowboy movies and country music.

Bill was a hardworking man who was a bit of a jokester.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Helen D. Hagge of Abington, PA; his son, William C. Leib of Delran, NJ; his three grandchildren, Kimberly Natelli of Abington, PA, Nicholas Leib & wife, Anna of Ft. Myers, FL, & Christina Leib of Asbury Park, NJ; his two great-grandchildren – London Green & William Leib; and his half-brother, James Leib & wife, Louise of Lansdale, PA.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Richard Hagge; his daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Leib, and his half-brother, Gerald Leib.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964 from 10:30 am – 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am.

At the request of the family, we ask that all attendees please wear a mask.

A future inurnment will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Grace United Methodist Church, 295 S. Main Street, Telford, PA 18969.
