William "Bill" Lee Hyndman , 87, of Telford, PA; formerly of Morristown, NJ passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at his residence.

Bill was the son of the late Robert Utley Hyndman and the late Jane Lee (Levchenko) Hyndman. His parents were authors, lecturers, and book critics writing under the names Robert and Lee Wyndham. Bill's great-grandfather was Joseph A. Hyndman, a Civil War Union Army veteran, who lost a leg in the Battle of Germantown, Tennessee. He traced his ancestry to the Mayflower, Bruster family.

Bill was born in Bronx, NY and called Morris Township his home area from 1939 to 2009. He first lived at 100 Burnham Road, 504 Mt. Kremble Ave., 14 Blackwell Ave., Old 9 Blackwell Ave., 70 Littleton Road, Morris Plains, and 17 Blackwell Ave., Morris Township/Harding Township. He moved to Telford, PA in 2009.

Bill graduated from Morristown High School, Morristown, NJ, class of 1955.  He graduated/attended American Institute of Banking, New York City for 4 years.  He was employed as a Bank Branch Manager for Bank of America, New Providence, NJ for years.

Bill served during the Cold War as a sergeant with the United States Air Force and was an air crew member on a KC-97 and was in a special operations squadron.

Bill worked at the Trust Company of Morris County as a Teller and Loan Clerk, The National Iron Bank of Morristown, The Fidelity Union Trust Company in Newark as a Second Vice President and Branch Manager, Fidelity Union Bank Corporation as Second Vice President and Director of Purchasing, Franklin State Bank as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager retiring from United Jersey Bank as a Vice President.

Bill was a Notary Public of the State of New Jersey from 1973 to 2009. He served on the Morris Plains Planning Board, was Chairman of the Customer Advisory Council United States Post Office Morristown/Morris Township. He sang in the boys' choir of St. Peters Church, Morristown and also served as a crucifer. He was a Civil Air Patrol Cadet, Morristown Squadron, and was senior advisor of the Morris Chapter Order of DeMolay receiving the Degree of Chevalier, the Advisors Cross, the Cross of Honor and Legion of Honor. He was a Past Master of Cincinnati Lodge #3 F&AM. He served as President of the New Providence Chamber of Commerce. He was a Past Chairman of the Suburban Chambers of Commerce.

Bill held life membership in Sampson Air Force Base Veterans Association and Eighth Air Force Association. He was a member of the Orders and Medals Society of America, The Medal of Honor Historical Society, and the Encore Experiences Coin Club in Harleysville.

Bill is survived by his beloved partner and friend, Elaine Maria D'Agostino of Telford, PA; his sister, Jane Lattimore of Morristown, NJ; and his close friend, Bruce Williams, Jr. & wife, Marianne of Souderton, PA.
