Wilson D. Leatherman , 98, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Pipersville, PA passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy Leatherman for 64 years. Wilson was born in Bedminster Twp, PA to the late John G. Leatherman and the late Mary (Derstine) Leatherman.

He began working as a farmer for the Eli Wismer farm in Bedminster Twp. Wilson then worked as a laborer for Theodore L. Gross Poultry in Doylestown, PA, as a machine operator for Eastern Rotorcraft in Doylestown, PA, and as a plumber for Elmer Kriebel in Dublin, PA. He was employed as a delivery truck driver / mill worker for the former Dublin Feed Mill (later known as Farm Bureau; now known as Agway) in Souderton, PA. After retiring, Wilson worked part-time at the former Clemens Supermarket (now known as Giant) in Plumsteadville, PA.

He was a loving husband and devoted caretaker of his late wife, Dorothy.

Wilson was a lifetime member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East where he served as a Sunday school teacher, a former member of the church cemetery committee, and he assisted with the building additions of the church.

He enjoyed hunting, vegetable and flower gardening, and traveling. Wilson loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was a hardworking, caring, devoted man who was well-loved.

Wilson is survived by his five children, Pearl Shelly & husband, Richard of Sellersville, PA, Darlene Yoder & husband, Sanford of Sellersville, PA, Clifford Leatherman & wife, Beverly of Quakertown, PA, Debra Seuren & husband, Scott of Telford, PA, Steven Leatherman & wife, Wendy of Perkasie, PA; his nine grandchildren – Ryan, Melissa, Adam, Aaron, Tiffany, Gregory, Kereece, Nathan, & Lauren; his eight great-grandchildren – McKenna, Rowan, Brennan, Brian, Denali, Candace, Wilson, & Noah; his two sisters, Marie Hange of Blooming Glen, PA, Della Gross of Sellersville, PA; and his sister-in-law, Mary Leatherman of Bedminster Twp, PA.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ida Ott; his brother-in-law, Albert Ott; his brother, Arthur Leatherman; his sister-in-law, Mabel Leatherman; his brother, Howard Leatherman; his sister-in-law, Margaret Leatherman; his brother, John Walton Leatherman; his brother, Claude Leatherman; his sister, Margaret Myers; his brother-in-law, Clayton Myers; his brother, Richard Leatherman; his sister-in-law, Della Leatherman; his brother-in-law, Ernie Hange; his sister, Reda Litzenberger; his brother-in-law, Harold Litzenberger; his brother-in-law, Clyde Gross; his brother, Earl Leatherman; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Leatherman; and his brother, Ralph Leatherman.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Deep Run Mennonite Church East, 350 Kellers Church Road, Perkasie, Pennsylvania 18944 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place at Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery East.
